Patrick is the Director of Corna Consulting a coaching and development service for SME and Corporate clients. He is passionate about helping his clients engage in their work with productivity and passion. Patrick holds an MBA focussed towards leadership development. He has directed, mentored and coached clients in a wide variety of NZ enterprises from corporates to charities.
A passionate motivator who brings 30 years qualified, hands-on problem-solving experience across the technical, automotive, and business networking sectors. Patrick has exceptional skills developing, training and leading teams across a wide variety of disciplines and industries. He brings his creative drive and infectious enthusiasm to motivate individuals and teams to achieve at levels higher than they thought possible. Patrick believes that excellence in management, combined with a healthy company is pivotal to a company’s success. .The results are seen in the bottom line.
Patrick is a keen sportsman and nature lover. His current passion is ocean kayaking and he is particularly interested in the link between being in nature and stress reduction.
Patrick has personally seen the impact of neurofeedback in his life and the life of family members and is enthusiastic about expanding his coaching work to incorporate neurofeedback and MindGym technology. Patrick is currently expanding his training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.
Nicola graduated as a registered nurse and midwife in 1991. She completed her Masters in Nursing at Auckland University in 2012 with her thesis ” Obstructive Sleep Apnea & Type II Diabetes Mellitus – Does CPAP therapy improve glycaemic control.” Further post grad study resulted in Nicola qualifying as a Nurse Practitioner in 2019.
Nicola works for Counties Manukau District Health Board practicing in primary, community and secondary care settings improving access to expert respiratory services. Nicola lectures for several local universities and polytechnics at both under graduate and postgraduate levels. She is a regular speaker for groups including Mobile Health New Zealand and the Goodfellow unit providing education for health professionals across New Zealand.
Nicola is involved with working groups at local, regional and national level developing New Zealand specific guidelines for the management of respiratory conditions and advocating for improved respiratory health across Aotearoa. Her professional memberships include the International College of Nurses, College of Nurses Aotearoa, Nurse Practitioners New Zealand, NZNO, College of Respiratory Nurses NZNO and the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand.
Nicola is on the scientific advisory board for the New Zealand Asthma and Respiratory Foundation and the Vaping expert advisory board.
Nicola has also worked in business as a director alongside Patrick for almost 30 years. Her health background contributes to the Corna Consulting core philosophy of viewing a business culture, staff and environment from a holistic perspective. Her expertise in sleep and respiratory medicine and understanding of the impact of stress has led to the inclusion of Mind Gym as a tool to aid individuals explore and learn how to manage their own stressors.
Nicola relaxes by spending time with family and friends and as she is a great home cook and baker, they are frequently around. She loves exploring new places and travelling.
